In 1976, Porsche offered a limited
production car, which will replace the 914 that had gone out of production.
This was powered by Flat-4 1971cc fuel injected - 2.0L engine, which had other
components of 914/4.The 912 E had Bosch L-jetronic fuel injection, an air
pump, a pair of thermal reactors, 21 gallons fuel tank, 923/02 transaxle, and
energy absorbing bumpers. It uses the 911/912 Chassis. Optional electric sunroof, headlight washers, A/C, fog
lights were available.
