For 2002 Porsche, Porsche expands their model line and adds Targa version to 911 Carrera, which was first shown in Frankfurt autoshow 2001. The new model features an innovative glass roof panel which opens and closes almost silently by means of two electric motors. The second highlight of the Targa is a folding rear window which facilitates the easier loading of luggage in the rear luggage rack. When the rear seat backrests are folded down the luggage capacity increases to 230 liters.This will be powered by the same engine as 911 Carrera 2002, due to the increased weight it will accelerate 0.2 seconds slower than Coupe Version.
